No lambs yet
Ada is proving herself worthy of the title "evil sheep". I let her out with the other sheep today, and she hauled her massive frame through 2' of snow and promptly escaped so she could go and eat the chicken's grain...and then let herself into the barn so she could eat some hay. Maybe she's not even pregnant..maybe she's just FAT. UGH!
Yoko & Yuri. I'm still trying to figure out her color..I "think" she's moorit (brown) gray (gray in Icelandic's is a pattern, not a color...you can tell she has the gray pattern because of her white muzzle...and white undercoat...but I can't tell if her fleece is black or very dark brown (moorit) and she has brown on her ears, but that could be phaeomelanin.) I guess Ill have to wait until they're grown out a bit.

You could write an entire book on Ada antics...it's be better than all of James Herriot's books combined!
And quit tempting me with cute lamb photos...
You crack my ass up!! Guessing colors...look at sheep's butt...it's all too funny. I love you..you are awesome. Today, I held down my dog and assisted a male in breeding her. Not one of my finer moments and I don't think I'll blog about it. :) She'd better get pregnant because that was traumatic.
wow Gayle...I think with that one sentence you totally trumped my sheep butt. I hope she's pregnant too...assisting puppy love...Yup...I can see why that might be a tad traumatic. LOL
I have been fairly obsessive with checking sheep rear ends, too. I have hair sheep, so this is my last one this year, I will have more in November and December: three lambings every two years.
