The sheep, and the sheep dog...

Vella used to be afraid of the sheep. Not anymore though, now she enjoys doing what her ancestors have done for hundreds..thousands..of years...tormenting them. OK, not really...well..maybe a little. Today we were outside, I was taking pictures and Baa'rack Orama decided to come and investigate what we were doing. What happened after that...well...I couldn't NOT blog about it....
Vella: "Hey, Black sheep...wanna play?" Baa'rack: "Play? With a DOG? Why should I bother?"

Vella: "You're just afraid, because you know I am the superior animal here...I can out run and out maneuver you...and you know it!". Baa'rack: "You think you, a small little fuzzy dog can out run me?? The MAN? The Head Hancho-Ramo??...I fear you are mistaken, stinky, drooly dog."

Baa'rack: "I can outrun you on two legs, you are so slow!"

Baa'rack: "I shall race you to the barn!"

Baa'rack: "And I shall win!! Because I am fast! And you are slow...and stupid!"

Baa'rack: "Ha! Ha! See me run, you small stinky thing"!

Vella: "I hate sheep"

Back and forth they raced...seriously...if I hadn't called her inside because my fingers were freezing off she'd still be out there...running back and forth. They would start about 100 feet out, next to the fence...Vella would do the downward facing dog, Baa'rack would jump up in the air like some strange rodeo sheep...and both of them would take off like rockets for the barn...for the INSIDE of the barn..I can only guess at what happened once they were in there...maybe the chickens were holding ribbons across the doorways and were keeping score on who won...I have no idea...it was strange...and amusing.

At least Vella is a girl and didn't try to mount the sheep as did our Roscoe. Not a bloggable moment!

Cute photos. Love your new look.

Hehe - you're too funny, Stace! And so are your animals ;) You have to promise that next time you'll go into the barn. I want to see just what those chickens are doing...

That is the cutest freakin' thing I've seen! Makes me want to get sheep just so my dog can race...LOL! No, not really. I'll just enjoy your accounts.
