What I woke up to last week. Lovely, eh? *blah*
This is the view (yes..very messy..today is my day to pick up after yesterday's construction) from the kitchen into the mudroom...its technically the back door..but that's the one we use. The washer and dryer won't be there much longer (I hope)..they will be moving into the new addition and their own room. Ive never had a laundry room before..I'm kinda excited :)

New addition, view is from our bedroom door..looking toward the mudroom. to the left is the laundry room.
Standing in the mudroom door to the new addition...to the right is the laundry room..and straight ahead is where our bedroom will be.

Well, it's nice to see that all is weather tight before the first snow. Things are coming along nicely in the addition.
When I remodeled our kitchen, about 10 years ago, I sat around drawing up all of my plans and figuring out where I wanted cabinets. Hubby knew I was going to do it, but I never discussed when! LOL He left for work one morning and came home to a stripped kitchen. I put a board across the doorway to keep my toddlers safe with a video in the living room and I started ripping out a crappy bar someone had added to the kitchen. Taking cabinets off the walls. I used a sawsall to cut out all of the countertops except the one holding our sink. You should have seen his face when he walked in and saw the naked kitchen!!!!! I had the wall primed and I too was building cabinets on the living room floor while the kids were still napping! I made my hubby hold the cabinets while I placed and leveled them. That was his job and so was the sink. I did all the rest and he is proud to point out that it's "her kitchen"!
I am a firm believer in "girl power"!!!!
Keep up the good work!
Question: are you on FaceBook?
Look me up, Kimberly Weatherholtz Pflug
I am on FB..but for some reason it won't let me add you... look me up...Stacy Davis...in vermont..lol.
You built your own cabinets? wow. I dont know if I have the building wherewithall to even attempt that..but I'd love to do that and see Mikes face...hehehehehe...too funny.
I'm jealous of your mudroom. I would love to have one. The addition is awesome. You sure are making progress. Sadly, it seems we are not. Burnt out I guess.
