The trouble with sheep

It's February in Vermont. You know what that means...yup, I am sitting here in my t-shirt with every window open and the heat turned off. I love warm fronts. It is absolutely beautiful out today, the sun is shining, the snow is melting and it smells just like spring.
I took the opportunity to start some spring cleaning as I know this weather won't last. I kicked the kids and the dog out and scrubbed things that needed to be scrubbed and listened to them fight (Mom, be happy you only had one kid....I can't tell you how many headaches you missed out on because of it) and laugh and sing and make funny noises. After a long bout of laughing and screaming I finallly got to the window and saw Vella doing what comes instintuallly to her...herding her sheep. unfortuantly these sheep aren't nearly as cooperative as most sheep....
"OK, all three are here...the one in pink is making noise as usual, the older one is hitting a piece of wood with a hammer, I guess I can live with that..and..hey, what is the big hair sheep doing..what is he sitting on...."

"Oh no! Big Hair Sheep got away! I-must-catch-him!" *insert Mighty Mouse theme here*

"Ah ha! I've caught you Big Hair! I will stop you!"

"Hey...HEY! Get back here...I didn't say you could go that way..."

"I said STOP! c'mon..just...stop already...."

"FINE! lets see how you like it when I bite your hair off Big Hair...I'll fix you"

"Vella...Stop eating Zephryn's hair"
"Whaaaa?? Whyyyyy?? The Big Hair sheep wouldn't listen..I was just showing him who's boss...spoil sport".

I hope everyone is enjoying their day :-) I am!

I must say that I DO miss those warm snow days that would come along after spending many weeks indoors!

Shame on you for making fun of "Big Hair Boy"!

Go Vella! Get them girl!!!!!

You've hit on exactly why I would never have more than 2 (and I regret having more than 1 sometimes). ;)

I thought you were joking at first about sitting around in a t-shirt!

Oh those bossy sheep dogs...I hear ya; mine is exactly like that: always trying to take your hand to tell you where to go, and if you refuse to have your hand in her mouth, then she throws her body at you...even better. Not.

Hey, have you changed your e-mail because I tried to email you twice about winning the giveaway and haven't heard back.

You are the second blog I have read today...the other in NY...that speaks of Spring. I have daggers in my eyes at you all! :) Spring is far away for me! We had a heeler that would do the same to the kids. Bring Vella on over and she can practice herding Daisy. Looks like a great day to be out...it was -25 yesterday, but back up to 0. I'm still not going out!

Apparently Teresa and I were on the same wavelength, because I thought you were joking about the weather, too! I guess I shouldn't be so surprised though, as we had snow on Sunday and sunny 50 degree weather on Monday.

Love your little herder. And much cheaper than a babysitter ;D

Looks like fun was had by all! You've got some pretty good snow mounds there!

We had a warm front last week; it came and went too fast. Since we've had the teaser, we're all freezing more than before!
