Cow update

There was a pick-up in my driveway when I got home, the cow's owners had been notified of her wandering ways by my neighbors who, I'm sure, were afraid of catching mad cow from the droppings. No, I'm serious. Several years ago one of our chickens was over eating bugs on the cement pad they were building their garage on, and she called me saying that I needed to get the chicken off her property because the kids were too scared too go outside. Thankfully that incident was before the avian flu panic or she may have called the WHO and had the whole property tested and my flock of 4 chickens would have been absconded and destroyed. Yes, I'm serious. Same story when my dog got loose, her kids were terrified that there was a wolf in the woods and refused to go outside for weeks. Again..serious. I can't prove it..but I'm pretty sure they did something to my daughter cat..he had been getting outside and the husband asked me if I had a grey cat, I said I did, but my cats were inside cats although Midgi had been getting out every now and then. He said "well, I just don't want that cat messing with my cat and giving her something" to which I replied "well, my cats all have their shots and are neutered and healthy so she wouldn't be getting anything from mine" He mysteriously disappeared 2 days later. Luckily he's smarter than the average cat and 3 weeks later was at the door crying, starved and scared but otherwise OK. Did I mention that their cat is constantly chasing my chickens now? She also called me on 9/11, understandably upset..I mean, weren't we all...but she was VERY concerned that whoever was flying the planes might target her brand new garage......yes...I'm being honest and truthful. It was a HUGE concern for her. Don't even get me started on the property boundary issues, or their dog who came at me growling with his hackles raised while I was working in MY garden...ugh..ANYWAY...she called them about the cow..and the owners were here..with a rifle. They plan on killing the cow..and hopefully they plan on taking the carcass with them as that was the whole point to me buying straw and grain.
I need to move. Really.

Come to Florida!!!!!!

We have great homeschooling regulations, warm weather, and hubby can still get involved in reenactments here in the south!

Stray cows = a Big ol' BBQ!

Your neighbors are seriously deranged and I hope (fervently for you!) that they will move far, far away from you (although I also hope they don't move anywhere near me...LOL!). Targeting her new garage?? WTF??

Your neighbor must be a relative of my psycho neighbor. He pulled a gun on me and the kids one time because my dog had run through his yard. I bet you have some cow pies you could fling at her new garage. Crazy lady!

What a whack job neighbor. I've had some wierdos live next to me but nothing like you've got!

I feel bad for the poor cow.

Stop by my blog to pick up something I've left for you

Do you *know* how easily you could mess with her? It could actually be fun ;)
