My next project

I'm blogging about this BEFORE the fact so that I actually DO it. I've never made a full sized "real" quilt before. Baby quilts, yea..and I even made one for Lyli a few years ago...but never a "big" "adult" quilt. Not traditionally anyway...well..i'm using "traditionally" loosely here..because there is no way I'm sewing a quilt by hand...sewing machines were made for sewing..my fingers weren't :-P
So this is the one I'm attempting. We will be able to use it for reenacting and if I find this doesn't make we want to either rip all my hair out or gouge out my eyeballs with a sewing needle..then I might attempt smaller quilts for the kids. Might. Perhaps. We'll see. I'll probably end up doing them this winter when I can no longer see out my windows and the snow is waist high. then I'll want a heavy quilt top on my lap :-P

I am off to the vet with my cone cat again. I went to put towels away this morning and the cone was laying on the floor. The cat got it off some how and pulled every stitch and even a few staples. If he survives this thing with his arm, I'm going to kill him!

Wow, that quilt will be incredible! I don't sew even *with* a sewing machine, so I am in awe of people who do projects like this.

Kewl! I've been talking for years about making a quilt...bought the books, the fabrics, the thread...and have yet to start. Too many hobbies, darn it. I can't wait to see yours!
