It started last night "Moooooooommmmmm...can you please please please cut my bangs?". We had just gotten back home after being at Aysha's graduation party...all day. And I had cut my finger pretty badly trying to transfer cake to Tupperware, cutting hair last night was the last thing I wanted to do. So I promised her that the next time she took a shower I'd cut her bangs if she really really really wanted me to. After all, she's 7 and sometimes things she wants one day are completely forgotten the next. She's not had bangs since she was a toddler, and knowing the upkeep involved, I was hoping she'd forget about this. But it wasn't meant to be.
First thing this morning..."Mom, I'm getting in the shower so you can cut my bangs". *sigh*. "OK Lyli, but you need to know that once I cut them the only way to get rid of them is to grow them out, and that's going to take awhile, probably a year or more. You can't just cut them off to get rid of them." "Yup, OK Mom".
Here she is before..looking happy and hopeful.

Here she is after...she had just gotten done saying "I don't want them anymore, cut them off!" *BIG SIGH* Shes finally getting used to them and has been in the bathroom playing with her hair for about a 1/2 hour at this point. Silly Lyli.
