I know its subtle, but it made a world of difference in the feel of the room. Its exactly what I was looking for, warm and spicy...not orange and greasy. I know...picky picky.
The Major came home and proclaimed : " I really like the colors of the bathroom". Translation: Don't quit your day job...because your painting SUCKS. lol. Oh well, at least he's OK with having some color on the wall...and maybe next time HE can paint the room..since he's obviously an expert.
This is what it was doing outside when I was finishing painting. This is a picture of the BEGINNING of the storm. In the end we had 3ft. of heavy snow. Trees were down, my greenhouse was flat....it wasn't pretty folks. Not. At. All. And guess what??? there is snow in the forecast AGAIN for Sunday! I don't want to talk about it.
We bought a new washer on Saturday to replace the one that conveniently stopped spinning during the snow storm. The state of Vermont was having a $200 rebate for energy star appliances and sears was having a 15% off sale on top of that...so..I ended up with a front loading machine..FINALLY! I almost returned it...and would have if other people who bought front loaders didn't read the instructions either. It seems that they stick these long-ass screws into the back of the front loaders to hold everything in place during shipping...and in the installation directions, very briefly, in small letters, it says to remove the screws and plugs. Oops. The washer destroyed my mudroom. DESTROYED! I had papers everywhere...broken wine glasses....it wasn't pretty. So if you are one of those people who install things themselves, and skim directions...heed my warning....MAKE SURE ALL PACKING MATERIAL IS REMOVED!!!
Signed,
~Mr. and Mrs. Major Moron (I'm not taking all the blame for this one!)

You need to stop making all your calamities so dag-nab funny!! I really am sorry that the washer destroyed so many things though. And snow?! Ugh...I guess we'll never move to VT because I am soooo done with snow.
I like the new color! It is only a slight difference, but sometimes that's all it takes.
OMG - snow?!? And here I was complaining because we had temps drop into the 40's. I'm going to stop complaining...
