Flooring update!

Even after a week of building my awesome storage unit, my Husband had enough kaputza left to get half of the "classroom" floored yesterday. Look at that...isn't bamboo beautiful?

I love it...want to know what I love most? NO SPLINTERS! Can you tell I pull at least 5 slivers a day out of feet? I know what you're thinking "make them wear shoes"...well...I'm here to tell you that it would be easier to get my kids to jump out of a plane than to get them to wear shoes in the house. I think they have some sort of weird attraction to having splinters removed from their feet while they're screaming at the top of their lungs about how much they hate needles. Scream therapy maybe? Anyway..I digress...This is about my husbands FANTABULOUS job on our floor...

Before.

After :-D

Before...

After :-D

Looks great..feels soooooo good on the feet. I think I'm falling in love with my husband all over again...brand new bamboo flooring and a HUGE storage locker will do that to a gal I guess :-P
This room is about 3/4 done...the rest should be finished within the week (he's back to work and his commute is killer...an hour and a half ONE way...so I'll forgive him if it's not done right away) and then I'll post more pictures for you all to see the finished product :-D

Stace, that flooring is beautiful! Your hubby did a great job! I would love to rip out most of our carpet and put in bamboo floors. It's item number 85 on our list of things to do ;D

That is wonderful! It looks so good. Finally ripped out the nasty nasty carpet in Elijah's room, and we have new carpet for Cody's. Dogs suck when it comes to carpet, but I like the warmth of it. Once the downstairs is done they won't be allowed up to the bedrooms. We'll tile down there (hopefully soon). Three hours of commuting? That poor man. I can't imagine. My husband has an hour, but tomorrow he goes over 300 miles to a job for ??? Anyhow, your floors are fabulous!
